Menomonee Falls Police said a theft suspect was shot during a pursuit Tuesday afternoon.
Police chased a theft suspect who sped off after hitting two cars.
The chase came to a stop at Pilgrim and Rosewood, where the person ran from the car.
The officers spotted the suspect behind the church and in the process of arresting him, one officer shot the suspect.
The injuries were non-life-threatening, and the suspect was taken to the hospital.
Police said there is no ongoing danger to the public.
The Waukesha County Sheriff will take over the investigation.
