Creative minds were at work Thursday at Shady Lane Elementary in Menomonee Falls.
Kindergartners drew pictures of their ideal playground. Their creations will help design a playground at the school children of all abilities can use.
"Our kids learn together in school. They should be able to play together on the playground," Principal Brad Hoffman said.
The school has joined forces with Sarah Johnson. Her daughter Vivian is going to Shady Lane next year and can't use the current equipment. The idea is to build a "Community at Play" where children in the neighborhood can also use the playground after school hours. A volunteer build is set for next summer.
