Meijer is hoping to make the back-to-school season a little less stressful for teachers by offering a 15% discount on all classroom essentials—its largest discount ever.
The teacher discount applies to all Meijer stores in the Midwest and extends all summer long through September 28.
Teachers interested in the discount must present their current school ID at their local Meijer Customer Service desk to receive a coupon. There are no limits on the amount of times you can obtain a coupon.
“We recognize that teachers spend a lot of money out of their own pockets on school supplies, and we hope this offer will help,” said Brandon Pasch, Director of Back-to-School Merchandising for Meijer.
It's estimated that 94% of public school teachers spend their own money on school supplies without being reimbursed, according to the National Center of Education Statistics.
