One person has died after being electrocuted near Penny Mustard furniture store, according to Greenfield police.
Police say two victims were located on the scene. One was transported to Froedtert Hospita for serious injuries.
Crews were unable to access the second victim until power was shut off by WE Energies. That victim, an adult male, was later determined deceased.
"Our sympathy goes out to the victims and their families. We are assisting authorities as they investigate this situation," said WE Energies spokesperson Brendan Conway.
A La Macchia Group's work site was adjacent to the incident and personnel immediately contacted emergency services, according to La Macchia Group's Chief Operating Officer Tom Kennedy. The company is building a Landmark Credit Union. The credit union issued a statement with their condolences to the families and colleagues of the utility contractors involved.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, according to the medical examiner.
