MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee County bus driver was recognized by Time Magazine and "Ellen" for her efforts in assisting a homeless man.
According to the press release, Natalie Barnes is being honored as an "Everyday Hero of 2018," after going above and beyond for "her kindness and remarkable compassion."
Barnes allowed the man to ride on the warm bus multiple nights in-a-row, bought him food, offered to go shopping for him and ultimately connected him to a safe place to live.
In addition, Ellen DeGeneres' team invited her to Los Angeles to be in the audience for taping as a thank you for her kind actions. Barnes was also interviewed for a segment that will air on "Ellen" in the coming weeks.
