MILWAUKEE — During a snowstorm this winter, a baby lost his shoes near 12th and Winnebago in Milwaukee.
During the whiteout conditions, Vickie Foster, a Milwaukee County bus driver, pulled over to help assist the mother in finding her son's shoes.
The shoes were discovered moments later in a snowbank, according to MCTS.
Foster picked up the shoes, ran toward the grateful mother and her child, and invited them on board for a warm ride home.
The woman later wrote a note to MCTS that said "she truly went the extra mile. You never know when a small act of kindness will make a big difference in someone's life."
