MILWAUKEE — Marquette University's Educational Opportunity Program is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week.
The organization has helped get children ready for college for a half-century. Founded in 1969 by Dr. Arnold Mitchem, Marquette's EOP program was the first in the nation, and has earned a reputation as one of the most distinguished, admired, and respected federal TRIO programs.
