MILWAUKEE — Calling all Golden Eagles who called McCormick Hall home in their time at Marquette: The university is auctioning off room numbers to support Marquette's Backpack Program.
The Backpack Program provides groceries to any Marquette student who is having a difficult time affording nutritious food.
Bidding starts around $50 for the available numbers. Apparently great memories were made in room 201 as bidding closed at $470.
While some room numbers are available, not all were salvaged before the demolition of the campus favorite began in June.
The iconic "Beer Can" got the wrecking ball Monday. The demolition is expected to be completed by October, making way for a new plaza and green space.
