CUDAHY — A man fell over a bank overlooking Lake Michigan and needed to be rescued early Monday morning, fire officials said.
The Cudahy Fire Department responded to the scene before 1:50 a.m. Monday, calling in the South Milwaukee Fire department for assistance.
"Due to the mud, brush and steepness of the lake bank, it was decided that lowering the patient to the beach and placing him in a raft for transfer onto the SMFD Rescue Boat was the best option," the South Milwaukee Fire Department said in a Facebook post.
The patient was transported to Froedtert Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
