CALEDONIA, Wis. -- One person has died in a shooting in Caledonia, according to the Racine County Medical Examiner.
One man was killed in the shooting in the 4800 block of Tanglewood Avenue, Medical Examiner Mike Payne says. The initial call of shots fired happened around 11:30 a.m., and the man was pronounced dead just after 12:30 p.m.
The victim had at least one apparent gunshot wound, Payne said. At this point there has been no ruling on the manner of death.
An autopsy will be conducted Wednesday at the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.
Caledonia Police aren't releasing details about the incident except that there is no threat to the public. Neighbors said a couple of years ago on their block there was a stabbing domestic in nature, but other than that their neighborhood is very quiet.
