WAUKESHA, Wis — A man was walking on the railroad tracks in Waukesha when a train hit and killed him, Waukesha Police said.
At approximately 4 a.m. on Dec. 24 a man was walking along the railroad near Grand Avenue and Williams Street with in-ear headphones. Police said that they believe he did not hear the train coming which is why he was hit.
Crews rushed him to Waukesha Memorial Hospital with live threatening injuries. Police confirmed that he died from those injuries on Dec, 26.
This is an ongoing investigation by the Waukesha Police and Canadian National Railroad which was operating the train.
