MADISON, WI — A Madison teen was arrested early Sunday morning for repeatedly calling 911 and asking for a ride home.

According to the incident report obtained by our news partner station WISC, police responded to calls at S. Segoe Road around midnight after getting multiple calls from a 17-year-old male.

When police arrived and tried to help the boy, authorities said he was uncooperative and refused to give them any personal information. The teen was told that the Madison Police Department was to be called during emergencies not when he needs a ride.

The report said the teen was warned he could be arrested for such actions, however; as soon as police left, the boy called asking for a ride again. Police said he was taken to the Dane County Jail and arrested on a tenative charge for unlawful use of an emrgency telephone.
