MILWAUKEE — Who says rooftops are just for summer? Cafe Benelux in Milwaukee's Third Ward is bringing back the wildly popular Lux Domes this winter.
The six private, heated domes were a huge hit last winter, selling out nearly immediately after they were announced.
The domes seat eight and provide a unique way to spend a winter night in the Brew City.
“We took a gamble last year on the hunch that people in Milwaukee were looking for more adventurous dining experiences,” said Dan Herwig, director of brand and marketing for Lowlands Group. “People want to get out and enjoy winter, and the domes give them a totally unique way to do that.”
At $200 for 90-minutes, the reservation includes a complimentary drink package, keepsake mugs and the perfect Instagram opportunity.
“While $200 seems like a lot at first blush, it shakes out to $25 a person for a really unique experience, and that includes the first round of drinks and a keepsake mug,” added Herwig. “Last year we saw so many different people out celebrating all sorts of occasions — we even had a few proposals on the rooftop!”
