(WXYZ) - Look up tonight and you may be delighted to see a full harvest moon.

According to NASA, the moon will become officially full at 9:52 p.m. on Monday, and will appear full through Wednesday.

The moon will rise Monday night around 6:50 p.m., but it won't hit full peak until three hours later.

A full moon closest to the Autumnal Equinox is known as the Harvest Moon.

The Autumnal Equinox was Saturday. It means the northern and southern hemispheres experienced an equal amount of daylight.
