MILWAUKEE-- The sun peeked through the overcast skies in Southeastern Wisconsin about 10:45 a.m. Sunday as the city began to warm up throughout the day.

From motorcycles, to unicycles, runners and everything in-between, a warm day meant good times for those throughout Milwaukee on Sunday.

“It’s beautiful,” said fisherman Bob McCreery. He enjoys coming to the lakefront when its warm outside. “It’s my second home when the weather’s nice," McCreery said.

We spoke with McCreery hours after he had arrived to fish along Lake Michigan.

“It’s a nice place to come after a hard day’s work,” McCreery said.

Residents of the Westlawn Gardens neighborhood were also taking advantage of the nice weather. For Antonio McKenley and his friends, a sunny day meant an opportunity to play basketball with friends.

“I just wanted to hoop,” said McKenley.

Temperatures were around 57 degrees at Octopus Car Wash about 1 p.m. The warm weather meant big business for employees.

"All week we were kind of warming up. We already knew Sunday was going to be a day," said Assistant Manager Andre Barnes.

It marked a day filled with fun for many local residents who had been hoping for warm weather.
