KENOSHA — The shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha Sunday is gaining attention from celebrities across the nation.
Jacob Blake was shot several times by a Kenosha police officer on Sunday around 5 p.m. Since then, local and state officials have responded to the shooting calling for action or patience as the incident is being investigated.
However, the shooting has now reached a national level with famous celebrities now taking notice.

One of the first big celebrities to comment on the shooting was rapper Cardi B. She shared a video on her Instagram Monday of the shooting and said, "Wow this is SICKENING! I can’t believe it! What’s going to be the excuse now?"
Later on Monday, Lebron James joined the conversation when he retweeted Ben Crump, the attorney for Jacob Blake and George Floyd.
James wrote, "And y’all wonder why we say what we say about the Police!! Someone please tell me WTF is this???!!! Exactly another black man being targeted."

Famous singer Demi Lovato shared a post on Instagram Monday afternoon demanding justice for Jacob Blake. She listed phone numbers for the Kenosha Police Department, Kenosha Mayor, and Wisconsin Department of Justice telling people to call and demand action.
Singer Camila Cabello also commented on the shooting, saying in part, "We DEMAND a new world. We need change, we need these cops ARRESTED, and we need a sign that this government has enough empathy and cares enough about humanity to do something about it."
Cabello also mentioned that she was praying for Blake and his family, as well as "the collective healing of this country."
The news of the shooting in Kenosha isn't just affecting individual celebrities, but professional sports teams as well.
According to Sports Center, the Detroit Lions canceled practice Monday and held a meeting instead to discuss the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

The tweets and Instagram posts from celebrities across the nation continued into Tuesday night.
Many of these celebrities posted similar photos and captions including things like #JusticeForJacobBlake and the phone numbers for the Kenosha Mayor, and Kenosha Police Department.
The Jonas Brothers posted on both their Twitter and Instagram Tuesday night demanding justice for Blake.

Lead singer of Maroon 5 Adam Levine also shared a similar post on his Instagram saying, "THIS HAS GOT TO STOP." He also included #DemandJusticeForJacobBlake in his caption.
Kevin Hart has also joined the conversation with several tweets addressing Blake, Black Lives Matter, and policing.
His first tweet read, "Another black man shot multiple times by police officers...It’s shoot first & detain second in these streets. Multiple officers were present....he could have been grabbed...he could have been tased....He could have immediately been stopped when he started walking around the car."
Following that tweet, Hart acknowledged the specific details of Blake's shooting.

On Tuesday night, Beyoncé shared a photo of Blake with his kids that said "Send prayers and thoughts to Jacob Blake and his family." Beyoncé did not have a caption.
Other celebrities have made posts as well including Amy Schumer, COMMON, and Viola Davis.
