The last Buca di Beppo in Wisconsin has closed.
The chain Italian restaurant known for serving massive family style meals officially shut the doors to its Greendale location Thursday afternoon.
Located in Southridge Mall, the restaurant is no longer listed on the company's official website, and the location's Facebook page reads "permanently closed" in bright, red lettering. While some were sad to see the location on Van Buren street last year, the Facebook commenters on the Greendale page might be happy to see a new restaurant take Bucca di Beppos' place.
One final customer said, "I got the veal parmesan and it was so tough that our 2 Labrador retrievers had a hard time chewing it and they honestly spit it out and would not eat it."
The restaurant averaged a 3.4 star review.
78 Bucca di Beppos are left in the United States, and restaurant also features locations overseas in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
