The Lake Express Ferry launched its 2020 season after a delay because of coronavirus.
The ferry said it was now open for four daily trips between Milwaukee and Muskegon, Michigan. The high-speed ferry will be making two daily round-trip crossings between the cities through July 1 and plans to add more on July 2.
New guidelines are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the facilities and ship.
According to Lake Express, these are some changes and precautions the company is taking:
- Passengers will be required to complete self-assessment questions before arriving on site
- Travelers and employees will be required to have their temperature checked before entry
- Face coverings are required for staff members and passengers 3-years-old and older
- Social distancing measures will be implemented
- The number of passengers allowed to travel on each trip will also be limited
