A 17-year-old girl is accused of killing a Kenosha man, setting his home on fire, then bragging about it on Facebook.

Prosecutors say the Milwaukee teen accused of the terrible crime bounced from place to place. We’re not naming her or showing her face because she hasn’t officially been charged.

“She had visited this individual before and she visited him again this day,” said District Attorney Mike Graveley. “I’m not sure what her motive was.”

Graveley says the victim, a man in his 30s -- was shot twice in the head before being burned beyond recognition last Tuesday.

“Having watched too much late crime tv (she) had decided to try to dispose of the evidence in a way that people have seen on tv before,” Graveley said.

But that didn’t work, the teenager allegedly drove away from the scene in the victim's car. It was found a day later in Milwaukee. Investigators say they were able to find her after she posted a picture of herself at the victim’s home hours before he died.

In another post from that same day on Facebook Live with a gun in her hand, prosecutors say she boasted about shooting someone.

“She’s waving that gun in her hand and she is discussing how if somebody makes her mad she’ll shoot them like she shot someone previously and there are people trying to quiet her down trying to stop her from bragging,” Graveley said.

The Kenosha County court commissioner set bond for the 17-year-old at $1 million.

The teen’s next court appearance will be on Wednesday at 1pm. She's from Indiana but has only been living in Milwaukee for two years.
