Kenosha police are looking for who targeted a playground that was truly a labor of love. The Kenosha Dream Playground was built by the community itself just two years ago.

According to the police report, five teenage boys allegedly tore through all three bathrooms next to the playground earlier this week, one of which remains closed for repairs.

Many parents who frequent the park with their kids are calling this senseless vandalism.

“I find it ridiculous,” said Deanna Erdmann. “I've been waiting two years for this park to be open for my son and I to come and play."
The Kenosha Dream Playground is a place for kids of all ages and abilities to run, swing and climb, but it wasn't all fun and games there Wednesday night. The police report shows teens wreaked havoc on the men's, women's and family bathrooms.

Those who first witnessed the damage the following morning found toilet paper dispenser, heater vents and window screens trashed. Toilet paper was also littered throughout the restrooms and the playground. Names and letters were found engraved on the bathroom walls. They were temporarily closed as city crews cleaned up the mess.

“My kids, they have to use the bathroom quite often being as young as they are and them having to wait and maybe having to go somewhere else and use the bathroom just to come back, it’s pretty annoying," said Zerick Vines.

The police report said there is surveillance video of the teens on the playground after this alleged incident.

"I can't believe it, especially when I heard there was cameras here,” said Erdmann. “How could you not get caught?”
