Kanye West and four other candidates have dropped off paperwork with Wisconsin Elections Commission in hopes to get their name on the ballot.

In Wisconsin, independent candidates must provide at least 2,000 signatures of Wisconsin electors as well as submit a Declaration of Candidacy form in order to get on the Nov. 3 ballot.

The other four independents who submitted paperwork are:

  • Jo Jorgensen (Pres.) and Jeremy Spike Cohen (VP) - Libertarian Party
  • Howie Hawkins (Pres.) and Angela Walker (VP) - Green Party
  • Brian Carroll (Pres.) and Amar Patel (VP) - American Solidarity Party
  • Kyle Kenley Kopitke (Pres.) and Taja Yvonne Iwanow (VP) – The Peoples Revolution

Kanye West has chosen his running mate to be Michelle Tidball.

Final reviews of petitions to be on the ballot will be made in the next few days by the WEC. They have to determine that each candidate sufficiently meets qualifications to be on the ballot.
