MILWAUKEE — On Wednesday morning, Milwaukee Police Officer Matthew Rittner was shot and killed on the city's south side.
Rittner and the rest of his unit were serving a search warrant for someone who allegedly was selling firearms and drugs.
As a response to this terrible tragedy, Jen's Sweet Treats will donate its sales Feb. 12 to Rittner's family. In addition, they also will provide cupcakes for all working first responders in Milwaukee County.
This is not the first time Jen has provided for MPD. In November 2018, she provided more than 2,000 cupcakes to first responders who worked on Thanksgiving.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, SouthEast Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officers Inc. will present Jen’s Sweet Treats with a certificate of appreciation for her generosity.
