CUDAHY — Jen Clark, the owner of Jen’s Sweet Treats, presented the Milwaukee Police Department with a donation of $21,599 on Tuesday to the family of fallen Officer Matthew Rittner.
The Cudahy bakery donated its sales Feb. 12 to Rittner’s family. The 35-year-old officer was killed in the line of duty while serving a search warrant Feb. 6 on Milwaukee’s south side.
Clark’s shop had received more than $10,000 in pre-orders for the fundraiser. Jen’s Sweet Treats sold out of its bakery items by the early afternoon Feb. 12.
This is not the first time Clark has provided for MPD. In November 2018, she provided more than 2,000 cupcakes to first responders who worked on Thanksgiving.
