MILWAUKEE — Houston Rockets superstar James Harden apparently has the Milwaukee Bucks on his mind as one of his preferred trade destinations.
The Athletic reported Thursday that the Milwaukee Bucks, along with the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and the Miami Heat, are among the contenders for Harden's next team, if he is traded.
Harden can become a free agent in 2022 if he opts out of the final year of his contract. However, there's always the chance that Harden is traded by the Rockets before his contract expires.
Harden, in fact, request to be traded to a championship contender earlier this month.
The news comes as Milwaukeeans and Wisconsinites wait to see if our own MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo signs his supermax extension with the Bucks. He has until December 21 to make that decision.
Sources: James Harden now has the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat among his preferred trade destinations, along with the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.
