Henning was on patrol when he witnessed several adults trying to pull the 9-year-old from the water. He was playing in the water when the strong current sucked him into the culvert that runs under the road.
Officer Henning wrapped the child in a "bear hug" and was able to pull him from the water.
Thankfully the child was uninjured and returned to his parents.
