FOX POINT — It's official! Chicago-style pizza is heading to Fox Point in December.
Marnat Inc. LLC, doing business as Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, is scheduled to open a carry-out pizza store at 8799 N. Port Washington Road in December.
Lou Malnati's is taking over the space previously occupied by Pizzanetto in the Riverpoint Village Shopping Center.
Malnati’s will hire about 45 local employees and plans to hold a hiring event soon.
The company’s first restaurant opened in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnwood in 1971. Its headquarters is in Northbrook, Illinois.
Lou Malnati’s, which is known for its deep dish pizza, is scheduled to be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. On Sundays, the restaurant is set to operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
