TMJ4 News is taking the next step in streaming our newscasts.

Beginning Tuesday, February 25, the TMJ4 News app on connected TVs (think Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Android, etc) will launch a new 24/7 live stream.

So what does that mean exactly?

Many of you have downloaded the Netflix or Hulu app for your TV - or dozens of other popular apps that provide video content. The TMJ4 News app has been available on all of those connected TV devices as well. Up until now, we have delivered content to our app through digital VOD – Video On Demand, which mainly consists of news clips from our reporters, weather forecasts, and other content from station initiatives like 'Positively Milwaukee' and 'Project Drive Sober.'

Starting February 25, we will now also deliver a live 24/7 streaming experience. This new streaming channel will mainly consist of our live local news, as well as network content from Scripps that includes shows like The List, Right This Minute, and Court TV. Our local newscasts will be simulcast at the same time that they air on traditional TV. These offerings will only continue to expand over time.

Think about it like a TV channel - just streamed digitally.

We're excited to bring southeast Wisconsin into this new frontier of streaming!
