Milwaukee County Transit System’s drivers are being hailed as heroes by Inside Edition for the drivers’ work helping the less fortunate in our community.
Drivers are often featured in MCTS Excellence Program, which highlights the good deeds drivers do while on their routes.
The videos have gained attention locally over the last two years, and are now getting national attention.
Inside Edition focused on six drivers, Karen Martinez-Casper, Diana Serrano, Natalie Barnes, Michelle Mixon, Thad Turner, and John Reed; who were all celebrated for helping out those in need.
Among their stories, Martinez-Casper helped a 5-year-old boy out in the cold with no coat or shoes and Serrano helped a lost 2-year-old who got out of her house while her family was sleeping.
