GREEN BAY — Three days ago, a Green Bay Police K-9 was stabbed three times in the neck. Now, after multiple surgeries, he's up walking again.
Pyro was able to get up, walk outside and enjoy the Wisconsin sunshine for a few minutes, according to a Green Bay Police Department Facebook post,
The police dog continues to rehabilitate at the Animal Referral Center in Appleton and is receiving around-the-clock care by the medical staff.
For his heroic action and service, Pyro was also given a key to the city by Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt.
