The wait is almost over. IKEA Oak Creek has a festive day planned for the store's grand opening on May 16.
Thousands of dollars in gift cards will be raffled off during the celebration. Customers in line before 8:00 a.m. will be entered for a chance to win a $500, $1,500, or $2,000 gift card.
Guests who sign up for the IKEA Family loyalty program or who scan their IKEA Family card will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $250 IKEA Gift Card. The drawing will happen every hour and a total of twenty-two cards will be raffled off.
Store manager Samantha Gravina stated, “We are excited to be opening our 48th store in the U.S. and our very first store in Wisconsin.”
The grand opening ceremony will start at 8:15 a.m. and the doors will officially open at 9:00 a.m.
Customers can get an early start and line up beginning at 5:00 a.m. Entertainment will accompany guests in line starting at 6:00 a.m.
The giveaways:
- First 200 children (12 and younger) will get a heart-shaped soft toy
- First 1,000 adults (18 and older) get a special "welcome" gift
- Customers in line before 8:00 a.m. have chance to win $500, $1,500, or $2,000 gift card
- Free IKEA FRAKTA blue bag with any in-store product purchase
- Customers who join IKEA FAMILY or scan their card have a chance to win $250 gift card
- If you spend more than $125 on your IKEA FAMILY card from May 16- May 28, you'll receive $20 off of a purchase of $100
“We have received such a warm welcome from the Milwaukee-area, and we want to return the favor by welcoming our shoppers with food, fun and iconic IKEA products,” stated Gravina.
