KENOSHA -- A homeless man linked to recent sexual assaults on the Kenosha County Bike Trail by DNA evidence is in custody and will be charged this Friday, the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday.
The 32-year-old man is currently in Lake County, Illinois jail on a probation hold, and is currently on probation in Illinois for armed robbery, according to a news release.
The suspect was identified after evidence collected at the scene was confirmed as a DNA match.
The sheriff's department says it is recommending the following charges: Two counts of second-degree sexual assault with the use of force, one count of aggravated battery to the elderly, one count of battery, and one count of theft. More charges may be added, the news release said.
