Hmong-American New Year celebration to be held in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN — The Hmong Mutual Assistance Association (HMAA) is hosting a Hmong-American New Year at Sheboygan North High School.

On Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1 Sheboygan North High School Acuity Fieldhouse will be filled with people celebrating the Hmong-American New Year. Attendees will get to see and take part in dance, vocal, and volleyball competitions, see live entertainment and a cultural show, and more.

The event is free and open to the public. If attendees wish to take part in the dance and vocal competitions, there is a $50 registration fee. There will be food, fruit, and merchandise booths and prizes for those lucky enough to place in the dancing and singing competitions.

Doors open at 7:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
