MOUNT PLEASANT -- One contractor wants to work around the clock to brace for winter weather that might delay road construction near the Foxconn Technology Group site.
TheJournal Times reportedthat S.J. Louis Construction contacted Mount Pleasant officials last week to extend their current Monday through Saturday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. schedule to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A big concern is the soil freezing during construction, which would interfere with the sewer system being installed currently along Highway KR.
Several board members advocated for the company's extension in an effort to minimize the impact on residents' home in area according to The Times.
