MILWAUKEE — If you're a young professional, you may want to check out this list of the best Milwaukee neighborhoods for young professionals.
Our news partners, the Milwaukee Business Journal (MBJ), shared the list from Niche, a Pittsburgh-based data company that ranks and reviews schools and neighborhoods throughout the country.
To come up with the rankings, Niche looked at U.S. Census data to determine the neighborhood's average age and education levels. They also looked at bar and restaurant access, job opportunities, and overall affordability, according to MBJ.
Nationally, Madison ranked No. 27, and Milwaukee was ranked No. 105 on the list of the best cities for young professional, MBJ reports.
Below is the list of the top 20 Milwaukee neighborhoods, according to Niche.
- Juneau Town (include Cathedral Square Park)
- Yankee Hill
- Historic Third Ward
- Brewer's Hill
- Lower East Side
- Northpoint
- Menomonee River Valley
- River West
- Murray Hill
- Riverside Park
- Walker's Point
- Harbor View
- Kilbourn Town
- Bay View
- Shorewood
- Upper East Side
- Cambridge Heights (near UW-Milwaukee campus)
- Wauwatosa
- Whitefish Bay
- Glendale
All of the cities got an A+ grade except for Whitefish Bay and Glendale, which got an A.
