MILWAUKEE — You can have a beer with your buddies whenever you want, but it's not every day you can sip a hoppy brew with a kangaroo. The 10th annual Zoo Brew is Oct. 3 at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
The 21-and-over event will feature 35 breweries and 20 Milwaukee-area food vendors to benefit the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. The fundraiser will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and VIP admission will get you in the gates at 6 p.m.
A roving accordion player and solo artist Ryan McIntyre will bring the tunes while you wander the zoo sampling new beers and good eats.
This year, Planters' Nutmobile will provide the ultimate photo op and will hand out free snacks that always pair well with a frosty beverage.
Admission is $50 for Zoo Pass members and guests, $60 for non-Zoo Pass members. If you're the designated driver, you're in for $20. VIP tickets have currently sold out.
You can order tickets onlineand walk-ins will be accepted unless the event sells out prior to.
