HARTFORD — The Hartford Police Department is investigating a possible child enticement that took place on Friday.

According to the complainant, shortly after 3:40 p.m. Friday, a couple of young siblings were walking home from Lincoln Elementary School. While on E. Monroe Avenue, at Wheelock Avenue, they were confronted by a 25-30 year old male. He's described as approx. 5'6-5'11 with an average build, and dark medium length hair with a mustache, wearing a black suit, black tie, and shiny shoes.

The male got out of the vehicle he had been operating, a small-sized sedan, four-door, unknown make/model, and black in color.

The man asked the young boy if he wanted candy from his rear trunk area of his vehicle. When the boy said no, the boy's sister grabbed her brother's hand and walked away. The man then got back in to his car and left.

None of the children involved were harmed in any way, and officers are actively following up on information related to this incident. If anyone has information related to this incident they are encouraged to call the Hartford Police Department at (262) 673-2600.
