SHEBOYGAN, Wis — A pair of Halloween candy thieves gave an apology note to a family after stealing all their candy left on the porch and the bowl.

According to a Facebook post, a group of people stole a bowl full of candy intended for trick-or-treaters. They drove off but the homeowner saw the car and called them out in a since deleted Facebook post.

There were two hand written apology notes. One said, "I realized what we did was wrong, and we weren't thinking of anyone else besides ourselves."

The other said, I am truly truly (sorry) for taking your candy bowl...I was only just thinking about myself and having a good time but not thinking about how it was going to impact others."
