GREENFIELD -- The nine-day Gun Deer Hunt in Wisconsin comes to an end 20 minutes after sundown Sunday.
Preliminary numbers from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources shows state-wide deer harvest is down this season by about three percent, or about 4,000 deer.
The meat manager at Ray's Butcher Shoppe in Greenfield counts on hunters bagging those bucks.
"The last few days all we've been doing and making our smoked sausage has been going 24/7 with the summer sausages and the sticks," said Scott Podd, Rays Butcher Shoppe.
The final gun deer harvest numbers will come out Tuesday.
