MILWAUKEE — Lovable internet meme "Grumpy Cat" may have died in May, but the begrudgingly lovable Siamese was memorialized on a North Avenue building this summer.
The graffiti is by Chicago-based muralist It's Mathmatical. The owners of Schuster Metals asked graffiti artists to tag their space near North 30th and West North Avenue.
Naturally, one would paint the internet sensation as she greets the pearly gates of kitty heaven.
Tardar Sauce was her real name, but the world first came to know her as Grumpy Cat in a thread on Reddit in 2012. Her unique and relatable expression was caused by an underbite and feline dwarfism.
