Two grizzly bears escaped their primary containment and were in the secondary containment area after a door was left unsecured at the Milwaukee County Zoo Thursday.
It happened at 5 p.m. when the zoo was closing. The few remaining visitors were escorted to other zoo buildings as a precaution.
The bears never entered public space.
The zoo was able to lure the bears back into the secured area with food and the all clear was given at about 5:30 p.m.
