GREENDALE — The Greendale police department's K9, Nova, won't be fighting crime for a few weeks at least.
"While at a training session, K9 Nova was reluctant to jump into his squad car," a Greendale police department facebook post said.
After a CT scan, it was revealed he had a ruptured disc. However, it also showed that he has the early on-set of a degenerative spinal disease.
He will get cortisone-type shots for a few weeks and then be back in the line of duty.
We wish Nova a speedy recovery.
