Evers met driver Karen Martinez-Casper at the state budget address.
Martinez-Casper saved a 5-year-old boy who was wandering around barefoot and alone on Route 80 in October.
She pulled over, picked him up and carried him onto her bus. The child was later reunited with his family.
Martinez-Casper was also honored at a Milwaukee Bucks game in January for her good deed.
