Gov. Scott Walker honored TODAY’S TMJ4 Meteorologist John Malan by proclaiming March 1 John Malan Day in the state of Wisconsin.
Walker tweeted the proclamation Wednesday morning, which is John’s last day before retiring. On Tuesday, Mayor Tom Barrett signed a similar proclamation for the city of Milwaukee.

Malan is the longest-serving broadcast meteorologist in the Milwaukee area and his last day on the air is Wednesday. He joined TODAY'S TMJ4 in 1994 and has been forecasting weather in the area since 1980,
