MILWAUKEE -- In honor of Gilmore Girls' 16th anniversary, aka “Gilmoreversary”, Netflix chose two Milwaukee coffee shops to be converted into Luke’s Diner for the day on October 5.
Milwaukee will be two out of 200 coffee shops that were chosen around the U.S. and Canada to celebrate the original air date, by turning these cafes into versions of Rory and Lorelai’s beloved Stars Hollow eatery.
Participating locations include Sherman Perk Coffee Shop, 4924 W Roosevelt Dr., and Fuel Cafe, 818 E. Center St. Free coffee will be offered from 7 a.m. to noon.
Now, this isn’t simply to celebrate another year gone by since Gilmore Girls original air date. This Gilmoreversary is unique, considering there is an upcoming Gilmore Girls four-part series coming to Netflix on November 25 called, “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life”.
As Rory once said, "It’s one of those moments that everything is so perfect and so wonderful that you almost feel sad because nothing can every be this good again.”
Celebrate this Gilmoreversary by grabbing your Lorelai or Rory and take advantage of some free coffee.
