MILWAUKEE — The summer is beginning to come to a close in the Badger State, but don't fret. Our friends at Visit Milwaukee offer a calendar dedicated to the most exciting events happening throughout the city.
UW-Milwaukee's Union Art Gallery:
UWM's Union Art Gallery presents a wide variety of visual art by students, local and regional artists. The gallery prides itself on being an accessible space for UWM student artists to exhibit and learn. Located in the union, the gallery is open from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily.
Grohmann Museum:
With more than 1,400 paintings, sculptures and works on paper, the gallery showcases “magnificent machines of Milwaukee and the engineers who created them.” Being dedicated to evolution of human work, the gallery is open 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Milwaukee Art Museum:
MAM will showcase a new "Portrait of Milwaukee" this weekend. The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Harley-Davidson Museum:
Visit the historic Harley-Davidson Juneau factory. The birthplace of the motorcycle was in operation until the 1980s and now serves as a museum for the company.
