GERMANTOWN, Wis. — Germantown police have determined that school gun threats made at Germantown High School and Kennedy Middle School Monday were not credible, and classes will continue as scheduled Tuesday, according to police and Superintendent Jeff Holmes.
Around 6 p.m. Monday, Germantown High School administrators were told about a gun threat to Germantown High School, followed by another gun threat to Kennedy Middle School at 8 p.m.
Early Tuesday morning, police identified the individual making the threats and ultimately determined the threats were not credible. School and law enforcement officials will be meeting with the individual and the individual's parents to address the hoaxes.
To ensure safety, Germantown police and Washington County sheriff’s deputies will be on campuses for extra security.
