A few dozen community members gathered inside Life Church Milwaukee for a fundraiser event called "Blessings For Brooklyn" Saturday. The event raised about $600 dollars for the family of 3-year-old Brooklyn Harris, the toddler who was tragically killed in an alleged road rage incident on July 13.
Shelly Gardner was Brooklyn's Godmother and said every day she misses her precious baby.
"We try to make it day-by-day," said Gardner.
Local artists from all over Milwaukee used their talents to bless the family. They sang and rapped about God, love and the need for peace.
"To let them know we are tired just like they are of all the violence in our city," said Organizer Tracey Dent.
Dent said this event was about helping the family financially but also showing them continued long-term love and support.
"It's all about unity, all about support, all about watching out for each other," said Dent.
Antonio Bratcher has been charged for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of Brooklyn Harris
