MILWAUKEE — Three pedestrians were injured and one was killed during a hit-and-run on Saturday.

The incident occurred around 3:47 a.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of N. Water Street.

Police say the four pedestrians were crossing the street when a vehicle hit them a sped away. A 23-year-old male sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He later died from his injuries.

Milwaukee police said in an update Monday that they are now investigating the deadly hit-and-run as a homicide.

Two 18-year-old males and an 18-year-old female suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Milwaukee Police Department said the vehicle was described as a dark-colored 4-door vehicle, possibly a Chrysler 300. Because one of the victims died from his injuries, MPD is now investigating the crime as a homicide.

If you have any information regarding this incident, or if you see this vehicle, please contact the Milwaukee Police Department at (414) 935-7360 or Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-TIPS.
