MADISON, Wis. -- Four new Wisconsin patients are currently being tested for the novel coronavirus, according to the state Department of Health.
The four patients are exhibiting symptoms similar to those of coronavirus and meet the requirements for further testing, the department said on a Thursday conference call.
There is still only one confirmed case in Wisconsin. That adult female patient recently traveled to China, and self-reported her symptoms in Dane County. Other members of her household are self-quarantining.
The risk of contracting coronavirus remains low, health officials insist. The only two factors the health department says they are concerned about include travel history and direct, close contact with confirmed patients.
