Flash flood warning has eyes on Southeast Wisconsin rivers

Several counties in Southeast Wisconsin are under a flash flood warning tonight including Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth and Jefferson until 6:45 a.m. Ozaukee and Washington Counties are affected until 6:15 a.m.

This has people living near rivers and streams paying close attention to the rising water as they wait for the water to crest.

Neighbors at a mobile home park in Kenosha County are watching their backyards.

“I think we’re gonna be OK. I mean I’ve seen it worse...I’ve been here five years I’ve been through three or four of them. I just kinda hang in there,” said Mark Debree, Kenosha County.

Authorities are warning residents about the potential of minor flooding, but they aren’t expecting anything like last summer.
